The Kotel Mezuzah Case

Courses of stone, one above the other, like the wall everyone knows, wrap the mezuzah cylinder, with the letter Shin set among them. The texture of the chiseling and the joints between the stones can be felt to the touch, bringing one small wall of Jerusalem to the doorframe.

Three tones in the family: terracotta, courses in a pink-terracotta tone with a gray band and a silvered Shin. Sand, sand-toned courses on a light body with the Shin woven into the wall itself. And olive, stones in an olive-earth tone with a gilded Shin.

The stone is natural; tones and veining vary slightly from piece to piece.
