A sand-toned face, in the freeform outline of a natural rock, carries two figures engraved in the style of ancient rock art, both mid-dance: one leans forward with a crest of lines on its head, like feathers, and the other faces it with arms raised and legs apart, a moment of joy frozen in stone. The rough texture heightens the sense of the ancient, and the numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9 are gently recessed so they do not steal the show from the figures.
