Libi BaMizrach Wall Clock carries on its face the words that open one of the best-known poems of longing by Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi: Libi BaMizrach VeAnochi BeSof Maarav (My heart is in the East, and I am at the edge of the West). The words are engraved on the central tablet, ringed by rows of cream-toned stone inspired by the Western Wall. In place of numerals, the hours are marked with Hebrew letters: Yud-Bet at the top, Gimel, Vav, and Tet around the sides, a small detail that turns every glance at the clock into a Hebrew moment.
